General information

Automated Log Work tracks work time based on issue state change (automatic mode) or whenever user clicks start/stop button (manual mode). Both automatic and manual modes can be combined this means when you have enabled automatic mode and timer is started you can stop timer by clicking Stop Timer button. You can also start timer manually by clicking Start Timer in automatic mode if necessary.

The application uses smart algorithm so time will not be tracked during non-working days, also there is no need to specify office hours

Increase timer tacking accuracy

Enabling single timer per user or single timer per issue eliminates overlapping timers. This means that two users cannot work on the same issue or user can work on one issue only at given timer. YOu can enable these two options so one timer per issue and user is only allowed. This increases time tracking accuracy.

In automatic mode and single timer per user option enables time tracking is transparent. This means when new timer is started for a user then other timer(s) are stopped and user doe not have to worry about overlapping timers.

Configure work log tracing for a project

You can enable/disable time tracking for individual projects. You can also configure Automated Log Work for each project separately. For example time tracking for one project can be tracked via manual mode and other by automatic mode.

Daily timers

Daily timer can be enabled for individual projects. Daily timers is an option to log active timer daily. Without daily timer option enabled if you start timer on Monday morning and stop timer on Friday evening then value of timer will be 5 days and will be logged on Friday as single work log.

If you enable daily timers and timer has been started on 09:00am Monday then each day at 09:00am timer will log 1d (depends on work timer configuration for a project) starting from Tuesday.

Daily timers. Timer will are not logged daily if stopped or paused or on non-working days

When timer starts/stops/pauses in automatic mode

Timer start/stop/pause action is determined by issue status change. By default for each project timer starts for all statuses that are in category “In progress” otherwise timer stops.

There is also category are also are also “Neutral. Do nothing” category of statuses in Automated Log Work. If status is configured in this category not cation is taken got a timer.

Manual Model

If it convenient Manual Mode can be enabled only for a project. In this case user starts/stops timer by clicking “Start Timer”, “Stop Timer”, “Pause” buttons.

You can allow use “Start/Stop Timer” buttons in automatic mode by enabling option “Show 'Start/Stop Timer' buttons in issue view”

Start timer and add work description

Either in manual or automatic mode user can add description to the timer. This is an description of current user work.
